Downtown Orlando’s newest park opens this weekend

Downtown Orlando’s new public space, Art², officially opens this weekend. The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m., and the park will officially open to the public on Saturday, October 11, at 11 a.m.

Located at the corner of Orange Avenue and Robinson Street, the park combines art, food, and community programming in a flexible outdoor setting. It includes seating areas, murals, food and beverage vendors, and digital art displays. À La Cart (Website), the local company known for operating food parks in the Milk District and SoDo, will manage the site and coordinate daily programming and events.

The opening lineup features several Orlando-based vendors, including Phat Ash Bakes, Red Panda Noodle, Culinary Collective, and Eighty Twenty. Two murals anchor the space: Urban Mirage 1 by Sitki Dogan and Step Into the Past: Walking Through Time by SKIP. The park, funded through the City of Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency, is designed as a privately managed public space, meaning it is open to everyone but operated by a private company.
