Timucua Arts Foundation (Website) is bringing back its International Guitar Festival this August with six evenings of performances at the White House in Delaney Park, featuring artists from New Orleans, China, Israel, Italy, Colombia, and the United States.
The festival runs August 9 through 23 with individual tickets available for each show and a festival pass covering all six nights.
The lineup includes:
- 7:30 p.m. August 9 — Guzheng and Erhu: Traditional Chinese instruments performed through works by living and local composers, presented by the Central Florida Composers Forum.
- 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 — Ohad Niceberg: A rising NYC jazz guitarist equally at home in hard bop and cross-genre work, performing solo.
- 7:30 p.m. August 15 — Ronn McFarlane and Andrew McEvoy: Lute and Guitar: McFarlane is the world’s best-known lutenist — multiple Grammy-nominated, widely recorded, and celebrated internationally as a player, composer, and educator.
- 7:30 p.m. August 21 — Carlos Serrano: Award-winning Colombian classical guitarist presenting a solo program of Colombian classical guitar music.
- 7:30 p.m. August 22 — Alberto Lombardi: Italian fingerstyle and electric guitarist, singer-songwriter, and record producer who toured Italy with Tommy Emmanuel in 2022.
- 7:30 p.m. August 23 — Jimmy Robinson: New Orleans guitarist with more than 40 years of recording and touring, having opened for Chick Corea’s Elektrik Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, and Charlie Byrd.
