Orlando Ballet (Website) returns to Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with The Great Gatsby from April 30 through May 3, featuring live music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra under guest conductor Julian Pelicano.
The production is set to a score by composer Carl Davis, and the staging originally premiered with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2019 and made its Orlando Ballet debut in the 2021-22 season before returning this season by popular demand.
“If you like dance, this is a great show. If you like stories, Broadway, or cinema, there is a very cinematic approach here,” said artistic director Jorden Morris. “Having a live orchestra of this caliber is a rare experience that changes the energy of the room.”
The production is supported in part by a National Endowment for the Arts grant as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration.
Tickets start at $39 and are available HERE for purchase.
