The Civic Kickback is a free community event happening Sunday, April 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at CityArts (Website) in downtown Orlando, focused on breaking down Florida legislation and voting resources in an accessible, social setting.
The afternoon includes music, light bites, interactive stations explaining new laws and what they mean for everyday Floridians, and voting resources ahead of upcoming elections. Attendees who visit all the stations are entered to win a raffle prize and can take home themed swag. Local artist and crafter vendors will also be on-site, along with kids’ activities, open art galleries, and the CityArts Cafe.
The event is organized by Orange County Progressives (Website), though organizers say no candidates, politicians, or party representatives will speak or have tables at the event, and is being billed as non-partisan. They describe the goal as reaching independents and people who don’t currently vote.
Registration is free HERE.
