Motorworks Brewing has been served a five-day eviction notice at its downtown Orlando taproom

Motorworks Brewing (Instagram) has closed its downtown Orlando taproom and a five-day notice to pay rent or vacate — served personally on May 26, 2026, by attorneys at Shutts & Bowen on behalf of landlord 131 Downtown LLC was posted to the door of the brewery’s space at 131 N. Orange Ave., Suite 106.

The notice demands $12,769.24 in unpaid rent and gives Motorworks Brewing LLC five days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays) to either pay up or surrender the premises. While we were there photographing the exterior, you could clearly see through the windows that they had already moved out.

Motorworks Brewing opened the downtown Orlando location in September 2020, at the time becoming the only brewery in downtown. The Bradenton-based operation used the space as an experimental seven-barrel brewhouse with 24 draft lines, a full kitchen, and a deck. The location has operated on and off with some turbulence though, like when it temporarily closed in mid-2023 due to a piping issue that caused significant damage to the drywall and flooring, and when the City of Orlando told them they couldn’t have a patio out back anymore for some weird reason … months into them being open.

Motorworks still operates its flagship location in Bradenton, a taproom in Tampa’s Harbour Island, and a location at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. We’ve reached out to the company for comment and will update if we hear back, but we probably won’t.
