La Femme Du Fromage closing East End Market stall at the end of the month

As first reported by the always amazing Amy Drew for Orlando Sentinel, La Femme Du Fromage (Facebook | Website), one of East End Market’s original tenants, is closing its stall on October 30, after 12 years in business. Owner Tonda Corrente announced on social media that the popular cheese shop will leave its downstairs space in the Audubon Park food hall at the end of this month, and you can see that announcement at the end of this post.

Corrente said the decision marks a natural transition for the business, describing it as “time to graduate.” Since opening in 2013, La Femme Du Fromage has become known for its artisan cheese selection, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and curated cheese boards, earning a loyal following among Orlando food lovers.

While the East End Market location is closing, Corrente said she plans to continue operating in other capacities, including catering, classes, and events. The shop’s upstairs space, used for private events and tastings, will remain active as part of a restructured business model, which she affectionately called “The SpeakCheesy.” More on that in Amy Drew’s column, linked above.

La Femme Du Fromage’s departure represents the end of an era for East End Market. The stall was among the first to open when the market debuted, and it played a key role in shaping Audubon Park’s reputation as one of Orlando’s top dining destinations.

Corrente thanked the community for more than a decade of support, calling the experience “a dream come true” and expressing optimism about the next phase for both her business and the market.

John Rife, the owner/founder of East End Market, shared that they are currently “courting a couple [of] concepts” for the stall once Corrente has moved out, but that nothing was “ready for mentioning yet.”
