Ômo by Jônt (Website) is tucked away on Lakemont Avenue in Winter Park, just off Park Ave. It’s an unassuming location you might miss, which adds to the feeling that Ômo is more than a restaurant: it is a retreat from the noise of the world. As the first Michelin-starred restaurant to join the lineup, Ômo is likely the most talked-about option in Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining this year.
Over 180 restaurants in the Orlando area are participating in Magical Dining, offering three-course prix-fixe menus at $40 or $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The program drives traffic to restaurants during the traditionally slow late-summer months, and it has been credited with helping elevate the reputation of the area’s culinary scene.
Ômo labels their three courses First, Then, and Finally, with each dish’s main ingredients listed on the menu. A knowledgeable, personable, and attentive server guides you through the preparation of each dish. Ômo’s Magical Dining menu, it’s worth noting, offers items that aren’t regularly on the menu. Along with the $60 pre-fixe menu, a wine pairing is available for an additional $65. Juan Valencia, Ômo’s sommelier, received the Michelin Sommelier Award in 2026, so you can rest assured you’re in good hands.
Orlando Shine was invited to sample the Magical Dining menu, and we can highly recommend the Wagyu as a ‘Then’ choice, and the icy treat Kakigori is not to be missed when you reach the ‘Finally’ portion. Ômo operates with a beer and wine license, which means their mixed beverages are nicely creative. The Iberian Old Fashioned, for example, is made with a tawny port, sercial Madeira, and bitters, giving the taste of an old fashion with a lighter feel than the traditional whiskey cocktail.
Magical Dining continues through September 30, 2026. Click HERE for a full list of participating restaurants.
