Orlando Jet Cars brings supercar-styled watercraft rentals to Lake Ivanhoe

Orlando Jet Cars (Website), a new watercraft rental company based at 344 NE Ivanhoe Boulevard [GMap] (which is actually the boat launch in Gaston Edwards Park), is now offering rides on Lake Ivanhoe in vehicles styled to look like exotic sports cars but built to run on the water.

The vehicles combine the look of a luxury supercar with the mechanics of a high-performance personal watercraft, reaching top speeds of up to 65 mph. Riders can choose between two vehicles: a two-seat “Pink Ferrari,” which fits a driver and one passenger, or a four-seat “Red Ferrari,” which allows additional passengers for $50 each beyond the driver and first passenger. Each vehicle includes a marine-grade Bluetooth sound system and custom ergonomic racing seats.

Two ride lengths are currently available, according to the website. A 30-minute experience runs $195, while a 1-hour experience runs $295, both prices covering the driver and one passenger. Every booking includes a 15-minute safety briefing covering vehicle controls, safety equipment, navigation boundaries, hand signals, and wildlife awareness, along with a Coast Guard-approved life vest (not that you’ll see anyone wearing them in the videos).

Riders can also add professional video of their trip. Options include a $100 360-degree onboard video package, a $75 aerial drone package, or a $150 bundle of both.

The company is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with all rides by appointment only.
