H Mart (Website), America’s largest Asian supermarket chain, will open the second phase of its food hall at its Orlando store on August 21 at 10:30 a.m., doubling the dining options at the West Colonial Drive location.
The expanded food hall sits inside H Mart’s existing 100,074 SF supermarket at 7501 W. Colonial Drive [GMap], in the Westland Terrace Plaza in west Orlando near Pine Hills. The store opened last September as the first H Mart location in Florida and the largest in the country. Regular hours for the food hall will run 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with last orders taken at 8:30 p.m.
According to the official press release, the phase two expansion will add six new dining stalls to the food hall: Curry 88, serving Japanese curry; Mari Mari, offering maki rolls, inari and noodles; Seoul Hotteok, a Korean traditional dessert stand; bb.q Chicken, a Korean fried chicken chain; Dduk Dabang, focused on Korean street food; and SORIMMARA, a Korean-style mala restaurant. The new stalls join the food hall’s original lineup of vendors that opened alongside the store last year.
H Mart president Brian Kwon said in the release that the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to the shopping and dining experience customers have come to expect from the Orlando location, and that the company looks forward to welcoming visitors to what he called a bigger and better food hall.
