Marcello Hernández (Instagram | Website) is bringing his stand-up to the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center this Sunday, June 21, with two performances at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A second show was added to meet demand. Because he’s adorable and funny.
Hernández broke out on Saturday Night Live, where he became known for recurring characters including “Domingo” and “The Movie Guy,” and has since become one of the more prominent voices in comedy. His newest Netflix special, American Boy, leans into his signature celebration of Latino culture and the immigrant experience, and growing up with a scary mother who escaped Communism.
One thing to know before you go: this is a phone-free event. All phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in Yondr pouches at the door and returned at the end of the show. Anyone seen using a device inside will be escorted out and likely publicly ridiculed.
The show is recommended for ages 16 and up. Tickets are available for purchase HERE and are selling out fast.
