The Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce (Website) is hosting its first-ever Mount Dora Area Restaurant Week from Saturday, July 25 through Sunday, August 2, giving diners a chance to work through the town’s dining scene without busting their bank accounts.
Participating restaurants will be offering special prix fixe-style menus for lunch, dinner, or both. Lunch menus are capped at $30 and dinner menus at $50, running alongside each restaurant’s regular menu.
“Mount Dora’s dining scene has always been something special, and national recognition like the recent USA TODAY 10Best ranking shows that more people are taking notice,” said Rachel O’Ryan, President of the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce. “Summer can be a slower season for restaurants, and Restaurant Week gives residents and visitors a reason to get out, try something new, and support the local businesses that help define our community.”
The event is open to Chamber member restaurants across the area, including spots in Tavares and Eustis. The initial lineup of participating restaurants includes Back Porch Pizza, Beirut Bites, BTW, Botanico Tacos and Tequila, Copacabana Cuban Cafe, Eden Abbey Brewing Community, Fifth Avenue Streatery, Highland Street Cafe, Lakeside Inn, Las Palmas Cuban Restaurant, Pisces Rising, Puddle Jumpers Lakeside Grill & Bar, Salt & Ember, Shadrach’s Fiery Furnace Pizza Co., The Deli Llama Cafe, The Mount Dora Bistro, The Salted Fry, The Troff, Whiskey Kitchen, and The Yardery. More restaurants and menus will be announced in the coming weeks.
