Southern Fowl (Instagram | Website), the scratch-made Southern comfort food concept from chef-owner Va Propst we told you about in March, is set to soft open at 4544 Curry Ford Road [GMap] in the Curry Ford West District from June 17 to 21, taking over the former Graffiti Junktion space.
The menu centers on buttermilk fried chicken, chicken pot pie, burgers, meat-and-three plates, salads and bread pudding. Propst launched the concept in 2025 out of Avalon Park’s Marketplace food hall, and the Curry Ford West location will serve as the brand’s first full brick-and-mortar restaurant. The Avalon Park stall is expected to keep running as an express location.
During the soft opening, the first 100 guests will receive a free beer or soft drink with a $20 purchase; those who spend $50 will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card, and guests spending $100 get a spin on the prize wheel. One entry per check.
Soft opening hours are noon to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
