DNA Productions (Website) has announced its full 2026-2027 season at Garden Theatre on Plant (Instagram) in historic downtown Winter Garden, the company’s first as presenting partner at the 295-seat Art Deco venue, following its appointment by the City of Winter Garden in April of this year.
The season kicks off August 1 with The Rocket Man Show, an Elton John tribute featuring Rus Anderson, who was apparently personally selected by Elton John for the role. The season runs through spring 2027 and includes a theatrical series, a concert series, and a lineup of featured events.
The theatrical series will feature Footloose: The Musical, which runs September through October, followed by a holiday production to be announced later this year. The 39 Steps, a four-actor comedy-thriller that blends Hitchcock with Monty Python-style humor, plays January through February 2027, and the series closes with 9 to 5: The Musical, featuring a score by Dolly Parton, in April and May 2027.
The concert series includes Rhinestone Cowgirls, a tribute to the legendary women of country music, on December 8; Beatles to Bourbon Street on February 9, 2027; and A1A: The Official + Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show on March 26, 2027.
Featured events include family shows Wild World of Animals in November and Mutts Gone Nuts in January, plus holiday and specialty performances including Haunted Illusions with David Caserta on October 22, Celtic Angels Ireland on March 20, 2027, and Come What May, a tribute to Moulin Rouge, The Greatest Showman, and other movie musicals, in January 2027.
The season also includes Josie & Grace, premiering through the Orlando Fringe Festival in March 2027. The show is based on the correspondence between Josephine Baker and Grace Kelly.
Series tickets go on sale soon. Individual tickets to other productions will be available closer to each show date.
DNA Productions is a Winter Garden-based, female-owned production company. Garden Theatre on Plant is owned and operated by the City of Winter Garden and has been a fixture in the downtown since 1935.
