Cookies Florida (Website), has opened a new medical marijuana dispensary in Sanford as part of its continued expansion across the state. The store, located at 105 Monroe Road [GMap], just south of the Central Florida Zoo, officially opened on October 4 but will host a grand opening celebration on October 11, starting at 9 a.m.

The grand opening event will feature entertainment, promotions, and giveaways, including a chance for one registered patient to win free cannabis for a year. That’s right. Free weed for a year.

The Sanford location marks Cookies Florida’s 17th dispensary, with an 18th set to open later this month in Port Charlotte. Cookies Florida began its operations in the state in 2022 and now maintains a growing network of dispensaries supported by its cultivation facility in DeLand.

Florida currently has more than 926,000 active medical marijuana patients, making it the largest medical-only cannabis market in the country.

Cookies Sanford is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A valid Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry card and photo ID are required for entry and purchase.
