DNA Productions brings “Wild World of Animals with Grant Kemmerer” to the Garden Theatre on Plant for two shows on Saturday, November 14, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets went on sale August 12 and start at $45 for general admission, with student tickets priced at $39, according to the official press release.
According to the official press release, the show follows a sell-out first event of the season at the venue, and organizers have already added the second performance to meet demand, they say.
Grant Kemmerer brings roughly 16 live animals to each show, including arthropods, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. The lineup includes a leopard, monkey, wolf, and badger, along with the critically endangered red ruffed lemur. Also featured are some of the largest examples of their species, including an eagle owl, marine toad, and dictator scorpions, as well as a legless lizard, cobra, alligator, and a 100-year-old alligator snapping turtle.
Kemmerer, who was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and raised in Miami, developed his interest in wildlife through scuba diving and guiding tours through the Everglades before founding a company focused on wildlife education. He’s presented live animal programs in dozens of states, trained animals for film and television, and works as a guest lecturer for an eco-tourism company that travels to the Amazon and the Galápagos Islands. He holds state and federal permits for endangered and critically endangered species and has appeared on national programs including “Anderson Cooper” and “Fox and Friends.”
