The Amazing Acro-Cats (Website) are bringing their crazy cat lady vibes to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts February 18-21. The 90-minute performance features a troupe of trained house cats (all former orphans, rescues, and strays) performing acrobatic feats. The show includes cats riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls, and performing other tricks trained through positive reinforcement.

The finale features Tuna and the Rock Cats (Facebook), billed as the only all-cat band in the world. The Rock Cats play guitar, drums, and piano, joined by the Jazz Cats on saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet. A clear sign of the apocalypse.

Shows run at the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m., with Saturday performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets range from $53.40 to $88.80. Click HERE to purchase.

The troupe has appeared on Netflix’s “Cat People,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl,” CBS News Sunday Morning, and PBS Nova’s “Cat Tales.”

The tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a nonprofit focused on cat welfare, rescue, and adoption. According to its website, the organization has found homes for over 300 cats and kittens since 2009. The show is presented in partnership with Orlando Cat Cafe. Trainer Samantha Martin and her troupe will hold a special demonstration at Orlando Cat Cafe on Tuesday, February 17, where she’ll demonstrate clicker training techniques.
