Amity Island is back at Universal Studios Florida for summer 2026

Amity Island has returned to Universal Studios Florida, and our friends at The Park Lens (Instagram) headed over to capture it.

The San Francisco area of Universal Studios Orlando has been transformed into “Little Amity,” a small temporary Jaws-inspired land, for the summer, returning from last year with some differences and upgrades. The theme runs through August 10 as part of Universal’s summer Movie Experiences, featuring Amity and Jaws-inspired décor, themed photo opportunities, and new food and beverage offerings.

A large “Amity Island Welcomes You” billboard greets guests entering the re-themed area, with a speech bubble reading “Help!!! Shark.” The fictional town is dressed up for Fourth of July weekend, which was when the original film took place, with props, flowers, and a Quint’s Bait Shop venue for Insta pics.

Two photo ops anchor the experience: one featuring the bow of the “Ellie Jane,” a boat styled after the former Captain Jake’s Amity Boat Tours ride vehicles, and another featuring the Orca, Quint’s fishing boat from the film. Guests can also take photos with the infamous “Help Shark!” Amity Beach billboard.

Chez Alcatraz has expanded its drink menu with new cocktails, including the tropical “Golden Shark,” the “Great White,” and the “Amity Island Iced Tea,” which are all available in non-alcoholic mocktail versions as well. Richter’s Burger Co. has also received a Jaws retheme, with a photo opportunity of the Amity Island billboard on one side.

The original Jaws attraction opened with Universal Studios Florida in 1990 and became one of the defining experiences of the original park, closing in 2012 to make room for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. Little Amity is the closest thing fans have had to it on the property since.
