A 17-year-old was shot in the leg in the Ocoee High School parking lot after Friday night’s football game between Jones and Ocoee High Schools, according to police, and has since been treated and released from the hospital.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday, October 2, after the game ended. Police told FOX 35 that multiple fights broke out in the parking lot before shots were fired, prompting a lockdown. The teen did not attend either school, and Orange County Public Schools said the people involved had no known connection to either school. Ocoee Police Department is leading an investigation.

Ten officers worked the game, according to those reports. Body camera footage released by Ocoee police shows officers finding the teen and applying a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The footage was published Monday.

No arrests have been announced, and police have not said whether suspects have been identified or what started the fights. Spectrum News 13 reported that Ocoee High School operated as normal Monday.

Police are asking anyone who was in the parking lot to check their phones for video or photos. Tips can go to Ocoee Police Criminal Investigations at 407-905-3161 or anonymously to Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
