Opening to guests of all ages and occasions on March 19, 2026, The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to bring guests on a whimsical afternoon tea extravaganza. This reimagined offering blends the elegance of the Victorian era with the playful charm of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Alice in Wonderland, bringing the timeless story from the silver screen to the heart of the newly refurbished Grand Floridian, sure to leave guests feeling enchanted.
Walt Disney World has released interior photos of the Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience (Website) at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (Website), which is scheduled to reopen this Wednesday, March 19, after a six-year closure.
When we reported on the reopening just last week, Disney Imagineer Suzanne Szak mentioned Alice in Wonderland theming running throughout the room alongside new stained glass and a redesigned carpet featuring wrens, sparrows, and hidden Mickeys. Based on the photos, the Wonderland influence is fairy sublte, and likely just limited to the food service. What the space actually looks like is a proper, elegant tearoom, with soft florals, warm lighting, and refined Victorian-style decor. Think Bridgerton solarium, versus Wonderland mushroom trip, and fits the Grand Floridian’s existing character far more naturally than a theme park-forward design might have.
Reservations remain nearly impossible to get, as they sold out within ten minutes of opening in February, but the My Disney Experience app is your best option for finding availability. The lounge is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
