The building that housed Irish Shannon’s, Don Jefe’s, and Rok Room is available for lease again, according to a little press package sent out over the weekend. First Capital Property Group (Website) has listed 41 W. Church Street [GMap] as the City of Orlando moves forward with its “Festival Street Makeover” and its plan to redevelop Church Street into a pedestrian and entertainment corridor. Or at least update the streetscape in the hopes Craig Mateer does something with the vacant properties he owns there.
The building has nearly 10,000 SF across three hospitality spaces with existing bar and kitchen infrastructure already in place. It can be leased as one, two, or three units. One space is 2,015 SF with a private rear entry.
The biggest selling point is a Conditional Use Permit allowing alcohol service after midnight, which became rare after the City’s 2023 distance separation requirements and war against downtown bar uses eliminated most of them. This one is valid through August 2027.
The building is within walking distance of the Kia Center, Dr. Phillips Center, and Inter&Co Stadium, and sits near the planned Westcourt development and Canopy urban park. Facade improvements for the historic building have been approved through the City, with completion targeted for this year.
