East London R&B singer kwn (Instagram) (pronounced “kay-wuhn”) brought her 2026 North American tour to The Beacham on Friday night, and Orlando Shine was lucky enough to have photographer Lena Neal (Instagram | Website) there to document the show on film.

Neal shot the set across four stocks — Ortho 80, Arista 400, Portra 800, and Portra 800T — and developed the rolls at Bellows Film Lab in the Milk District. Neal said: “Mad praise to kwn for showing vulnerability on stage, yet still propelling through fatigue and showing the community gratitude. She’s wn of wn.”

kwn released her debut EP episode wn in 2022 and broke through with the self-produced single “eyes wide open,” which has topped 4 million global streams. The Orlando stop was one of the last Southeast dates on the tour before she heads up the East Coast.

Lena Neal is a visual artist originally from Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Visual Communications, she remains steadfast in balancing camera repair studies, film processing, and a freelance career in film.  Her work spans several genres, emphasizing the uncommon counterparts to limiting archetypes of black southerners and queer representations. She gravitates towards realist expression, with works exploring sideshow culture, black queerness, trans-generational religiousness, and artist portraiture.
