Orlando was among thousands of cities and towns that turned out for the third nationwide No Kings day of action today, with demonstrations at Orlando City Hall, Baldwin Park, and across the broader Central Florida region.
The noon rally at Orlando City Hall drew one of the largest local turnouts yet for a No Kings event, according to attendees who told Click Orlando it was bigger than the previous two Orlando demonstrations. A separate morning rally was organized specifically for seniors at Baldwin Park, near the Westminster complex, and an evening rally followed at 5:30 p.m .and additional protests took place in Kissimmee, Sanford, Clermont, Heathrow, Davenport, and Orange City.
The Orlando protests were part of a massive national mobilization, with organizers saying millions participated in No Kings protests across all 50 states, making it one of the largest protest days in recent memory, with estimates ahead of the global protests anticipating 9 million attendees nationwide. The last round of protests, this past October, saw some 5 million attendees spread across about 2,600 demonstrations, according to No Kings and NPR.
