The Orlando Pirates (Website) dropped their only home game of the 2026 IFL regular season this past Sunday, falling to the Green Bay Blizzard 52-50 at the Kia Center.
The Pirates held a five-point lead with three minutes to play in their final home game of the season and had a perfect record on the line when Green Bay’s Trevon Alexander punched in a one-yard touchdown run. Orlando got the ball back with 2:20 left and moved into scoring position, but quarterback Paxton DeLaurent fumbled for the second time in the game with 51 seconds remaining. Green Bay scooped it up, and the Kia Center went quiet.
The loss drops Orlando to 8-6 on the season. The Pirates hit the road next, traveling to face the San Antonio Gunslingers on Saturday, July 11, at 5 p.m. at Freeman Coliseum.
