The Orlando Pirates’ unbeaten run is finally over. Jacksonville ended it Saturday night, beating the Pirates 68-40 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena to hand Orlando its first loss of the Indoor Football League season.
The Pirates had been the last remaining undefeated team in the IFL. The Sharks made short work of that, though over the weekend, powered by former Pirates running back Jimmie Robinson, who scored four touchdowns against his old team.
Nyqwan Murray had a strong night for Orlando, scoring three times, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Jacksonville’s offense.
