The Orlando Museum of Art (Website) will host a preview party for its 2026 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibition on Friday, May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event offers the first public look at what the museum describes as the largest Florida Prize show to date, featuring 12 artists and collaborative duos working in painting, sculpture, photography, performance, weaving, and other media.
The $20,000 Florida Prize will be awarded during the event, chosen by this year’s juror, and guests can begin voting for the People’s Choice award, which runs throughout the summer. Central Florida chefs will be at the event to serve dishes inspired by the exhibiting artists throughout the evening.
Proceeds from the event support the Florida Prize exhibition and Orlando Museum of Art education programs.
