The US premiere of Avatar in Concert is coming to the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center on Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m.
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra (Website) and Opera Orlando (Website) will perform James Horner’s score live while the full film plays on screen behind them for a fun, immersive experience. Conductor John Jesensky will lead the performance, with Eric Rigler on flutes and whistles and Eleanor Grant as vocal soloist.
Avatar in Concert made its world premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London in October 2024, and Orlando is its first stop in the United States.
Avatar: Fire and Ash, the 2025 James Cameron film, is set to arrive on Disney+ just days after the concert.
