Orlando Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 1365 is partnering with Lil Rascals Dog Rescue (Website) for the 3rd Annual Ties & Tails Gala, a casino-style fundraiser benefiting at-risk dogs across Central Florida.
The event runs Saturday, August 29, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Reception Hall, 4005 N. Orange Blossom Trail [GMap]. The local firefighters’ union is donating its reception hall for the evening, bringing together first responders, animal rescue advocates, community members, and area businesses for a night of casino-style games, raffles, food, entertainment, and adorable rescue dogs available for adoption.
All proceeds from the gala will go toward Lil Rascals Dog Rescue’s work providing medical care, food, shelter and rehabilitation to homeless and at-risk dogs, including dogs on euthanasia lists, elderly dogs and dogs needing medical care.
