Orlando City SC played Atlanta United FC to a 1-1 draw Saturday night at Inter&Co Stadium.

Griffin Dorsey and his beautiful hair gave the Lions an early lead in the 18th minute. Martín Ojeda found Iván Angulo down Orlando’s left flank, and Angulo sent a pass across the face of the goal to Dorsey for the finish right in front of Atlanta goalkeeper Lucas Hoyos’ smug face.

Orlando carried the 1-0 lead into the closing stages of the match before Atlanta equalized in the 86th minute with a goal by Jay Fortune, assisted by two players we don’t really care about.

The draw leaves Orlando City at 4-8-2 with 14 points, while Atlanta United sits at 3-8-2 with 11 points.

Forward Marco Pašalić made his 50th appearance across all competitions for Orlando City.

“We were close, close to a win, which is what we always want when we play, but especially at home,” said interim head coach Martín Perelman. “I think the guys gave a huge effort. We were able to play the game we wanted for most of the match. There were periods when we felt a little fatigued, which I think is normal since we played just 48 hours ago.”

The Lions will face Atlanta United again on Tuesday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Inter&Co Stadium in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
