The Modern Music Movement (Facebook) and New West Records (Website) are bringing Nashville South back to Orlando for its seventh edition. It’s a semi-annual showcase for Americana and lo-fi songwriting that has been a calendar must for Orlando audiophiles for 14 years.
Headlining Nashville South 7: Hardluck is Lilly Hiatt (Website), the Nashville-based singer-songwriter and daughter of American songwriter John Hiatt. She’s released six studio albums on New West Records that have earned pretty consistent praise from Rolling Stone, NPR Music, and Pitchfork.
Her 2017 album Trinity Lane, produced by Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope, is widely considered her breakthrough, with NPR calling it “courageous and affecting” and Rolling Stone describing her as “Nashville’s indie-rocker-to-watch.”
Hiatt will take the stage at Ten 10 Brewing’s B-Side venue at 1010 Virginia Drive [GMap] at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25. Tickets are $10. Click HERE for more information.
