The Winter Park Institute (Website) is hiring a new executive director as it continues on its path to grow as an independent nonprofit.
Founded in 2007 at Rollins College, the institute became known for bringing world-class speakers to Central Florida, including Sir Paul McCartney, Maya Angelou, Jane Goodall, and Oliver Stone. After separating from Rollins in 2021, it now operates out of the Winter Park Library & Events Center, focusing on community programs that highlight arts, culture, and public discussion.
The new executive director will oversee daily operations, fundraising, and partnerships, and help guide the organization’s next stage of development. The institute’s board says it is looking for a leader with strong nonprofit management experience, a background in cultural programming, and the ability to expand WPI’s presence in the community.
Applicants should have a history of success in a senior management position, experience working with a nonprofit organization and board, a proven track record in fundraising and development, and at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
A salary was not posted, nor was there a mention of benefits.
