The Addition Financial Foundation (Website) is renovating student needs spaces at five Central Florida public schools this summer, and the program is looking for sponsors to help stock the shelves.
Now in its second year focused on schoolwide needs spaces (think food pantries but with other goodies too), the Renovate to Educate program is expanding into Volusia County for the first time, bringing the total to five school districts. The 2026 recipients are Meadowbrook Middle School in Orange County, the 9th Grade Center at Seminole High School, Deltona Middle School in Volusia County, Discovery Intermediate School in Osceola County, and Eustis Heights Elementary in Lake County.
Each needs space is a dedicated pantry or area within the school stocked with food, hygiene products, clothing, school supplies, and other essentials for students and families experiencing financial hardship or housing insecurity. Interior design interns from Seminole State College are working alongside Foundation volunteers to renovate and organize the spaces ahead of the new school year.
The Foundation is seeking sponsors to help fill the shelves once renovations are complete. Businesses or individuals interested in contributing can reach the Addition Financial Foundation at foundation.additionfi.com. They’re looking for financial support, not product donations, fre3 4since each school has specific and unique needs.
“As we continue growing this program, our goal remains simple: help remove barriers that can stand in the way of a student’s ability to learn and succeed,” said Cristina Lehman, Executive Director of the Addition Financial Foundation.
Renovations are scheduled for this summer ahead of the 2026-2027 school year.
