Dana and Alden (Facebook | Website), the Eugene, Oregon, duo behind the new album Papa’s Boat, will play The Social in downtown Orlando on Friday, November 6.
Brothers Dana and Alden McWayne grew up in Eugene and make jazz-rooted music that blends indie, pop, rap, and bossa nova. Papa’s Boat was released August 14 on Concord Jazz, and the album was inspired by their late maternal grandfather, a retired engineer and sailor. The album includes two songs co-written and recorded remotely with Brazilian singer-songwriter Marcos Valle.
Doors and show are at 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $22 plus fees and available HERE for purchase.
