Walt Disney World announced on June 18 that a new lounge and live music venue concept will be moving into the former Jellyrolls space at Disney’s BoardWalk starting in late 2026.
Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar that operated for nearly 30 years, closed in April 2025. The space will be reimagined as Hurly-Burly, and themed as a historic seaside theater. Which reads to me as “Provincetown in the Summer,” but I’m super gay.
During the day, Hurly-Burly will offer family-friendly activities including trivia and games led by a host. In the evening, it transitions to a 21-and-over live music venue serving coastal-inspired cocktails (like a Cape Codder, perhaps?) and light bites.
Disney also announced two additional experiences for the BoardWalk opening in late 2026. Basin on the BoardWalk will offer handcrafted bath and body products with interactive programming like a custom “bath tea” blending counter so you can tea bag yourself at home, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press. A third quick-service restaurant is also coming to the BoardWalk, with details to be announced later this summer.
The announcements are part of a broader evolution of Disney’s BoardWalk, which has included renovations to Stage Door General Store, lobby updates, and the opening of Cake Bake Shop (Website). The waterfront district, located next to EPCOT, was inspired by turn-of-the-century coastal boardwalks like those in Atlantic City and Coney Island.
