Orlando International Airport opened two new Family Zones yesterday, one in Terminal A and one in Terminal B, completing an initiative to place the amenity in all three of the airport’s passenger terminals.

The new spaces build on the Flybrary, a reading nook that opened in Terminal C in May.
Terminal A’s Family Zone, located on Level 1, features a Florida-inspired soft-play area designed for younger travelers. It includes a Florida-themed carpet map, a Florida trivia kiosk, and soft-play surfaces for your clumsy wee ones.
Terminal B’s Family Zone, on Level 3, offers an interactive space with motion-based digital games that use displays and cameras, like flapping their arms to simulate flying or sorting luggage in a digitally rendered environment to train for a future job or something. The tech was installed by Central Florida-based M3D Technologies, a participant in the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program.
“It’s exciting to add two more family zones to the lineup today,” said Lance Lyttle (great name), chief executive officer for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), which operates MCO, according to the official press release. “All three spaces represent our ongoing commitment to elevate the passenger experience with amenities that delight guests and make travel easier for families.”
Tawana Allen, chief customer experience officer for GOAA, said the zones are meant to give traveling families a place to pause amid the demands of air travel. “Our Family Zones will help meet travelers where they are,” Allen said in the release. “They offer a place to pause, reset, and enjoy a moment together before the next leg of their trip.”
It’s all part of a new strategic vision for the airport that we wrote about HERE back in October 2025.
