A Maitland developer is proposing to fill a small vacant lot on North Orlando Avenue with a new mixed-use commercial building just a few steps from the city’s SunRail station.
According to the City of Maitland Facebook page, Vincent Pellicane of VJR Properties has proposed “Pelican Landings,” a 2.5-story, nearly 9,000 SF building at 735 N. Orlando Avenue [GMap]. The lot sits between VJR’s existing Northbridge Centre — the First Colony Bank building — and the Maitland SunRail station.
The ground floor would house a future restaurant and bar. Additional commercial space would occupy the upper floors.
The project has not yet been approved.
