The 48th Central Florida Scottish Highland Games (Website) are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, and Sunday, January 18, at Central Winds Park in Winter Springs. The two-day festival is organized by the Scottish-American Society of Central Florida and is promoted as one of the largest community events in Seminole County.
The event includes traditional Highland Games competitions, including Scottish heavy athletics, along with bagpiping and drumming, Highland dance, and other sexy, kilted cultural activities. Other activities include a Shortbread and Scone Competition, Boulder Boogie, live music, vendors, and a clan village based on Scottish families.
