Beefy King is back and colder than ever

We told you HERE on August 1 that Beefy King had made the tough decision to close for a few days while their air conditioning was fixed, and we are happy to say that they have officially reopened.

While the Beefy King (Website) dining room has remained mostly unchanged in the past 56 years it’s been in business, the air conditioning unit wasn’t even two years old this summer. But thanks to the hard work of BM Mechanical, they were able to reopen on August 6, for normal service after six days away.

In July, Florida, especially its interior regions, endured intense heat domes that pushed heat index values into the 110°F–115°F range, prompting Extreme Heat Warnings and advisories in many counties through periods in late July and early August. These conditions have since subsided, and the high-pressure “lid” has been popped. But it’s still hot as hell because it’s late summer.
