Rollins Museum of Art breaks ground on Winter Park’s new “Innovation Triangle”

RENDERING VIA ROLLINS COLLEGE

Rollins College has officially broken ground on the new Rollins Museum of Art (Website), which will serve as a centerpiece of the college’s larger “Innovation Triangle,” a development plan the school hopes will link the Rollins Museum of Art, the new Crummer Graduate School of Business, and The Alfond Inn into a unified downtown campus hub focused on creativity, leadership, and community engagement.

The new 32,791 SF Rollins Museum of Art will be located at 200 E. New England Avenue [GMap] and will more than double the size of the current facility, providing space for larger exhibitions, additional classrooms, and new community programs. It will also allow Rollins to display more of its 6,000-piece permanent collection. The design also includes dedicated event and education spaces.

The construction is expected to take about two years, with an opening planned for 2027.

When complete, the new Rollins Museum of Art will stand as a major addition to Winter Park’s cultural landscape, expanding public access to the arts and strengthening the city’s identity as one of Central Florida’s leading centers for creativity and learning.
