Women’s History Breakfast to highlight Central Florida sports leaders at the Orange County Regional History Center

The Orange County Regional History Center (Website) in downtown Orlando will host its seventh annual Women’s History Breakfast on Wednesday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Inter and Co Stadium’s West Club in Parramore. The event, organized by the Historical Society of Central Florida (Website), will recognize and celebrate women who have played significant roles in advancing sports in the region.

The program opens with a buffet and coffee at 8 a.m., followed by the main presentation beginning at 8:30 a.m. This year’s honorees include Mimi Chan, a martial arts champion and international competitor; Cari Coats, a former executive vice president of the Orlando Magic; the Orlando Pride, Orlando’s professional women’s soccer team; and the Orlando Rebels, a historic women’s fastpitch softball team.

The event supports the History Center’s HERstory: Women in History Internship Program, which uncovers and brings visibility to the important roles of women throughout Central Florida’s history.

Tickets are priced at $45 per person, with table sponsorship options available. Proceeds from the breakfast directly benefit programs at the History Center. Click HERE for more information.
