À La Cart City (Website) in downtown Orlando will host Warped Tour Documentary Day on Thursday, November 12, featuring three free film screenings, a raffle for Vans Warped Tour tickets, and guest appearances from the tour’s founder and the nonprofit To Write Love On Her Arms (Website).

The evening centers on a 6:30 p.m. screening celebrating the 20th anniversary of To Write Love On Her Arms, a nonprofit that works to present hope and find help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide, and invests directly in treatment and recovery. The release describes the short film as the story of a movement that brought mental health conversations “from the margins to the mainstream.”

The event runs from 4 to 10 p.m. at À La Cart City, 274 N. Orange Avenue [GMap]. The downtown destination features food trucks, craft beer and cocktails, and a courtyard for community events.

Two other documentaries will screen. Heavy Healing plays at 4 p.m., and Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd plays at 9 p.m. Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski and writer and poet Renee Yohe are scheduled to appear.

Attendees can enter a raffle for pairs of weekend tickets to Vans Warped Tour, a pair of meet-and-greet passes with Simple Plan, a Simple Plan vinyl record and CD, and two Warped Tour merchandise bags for pickup at the venue. Winners must be present to claim their prizes.

The event comes two days before Vans Warped Tour returns to Orlando for a two-day festival on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, at the Camping World Stadium campus.
