The Orlando Science Center (Website) is hosting its annual OSC After Dark, a Halloween party for adults 21 and older, on Saturday, October 31, from 8 to 11 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Young Professionals for OSC at the science center in Loch Haven Park, just north of downtown Orlando. Guests can see the museum decorated for Halloween, wear costumes, and take part in activities ranging from a laser light show to karaoke.

Costumes are encouraged. Face coverings must not obstruct vision and must be removable for ID checks. Weapons are not permitted. Entertainment includes a “Laser Fright Light” show and a costume contest with prizes for the best outfits. Karaoke runs all night, and trivia hosted by Curtis Earth offers prizes. In DinoDigs, a “Monster Mash” dance party will feature a DJ who changes up the music every half hour.

Other activities include a Pumpkin Picking Challenge, in which guests design and build a contraption to retrieve pumpkins stolen by “the mischievous Skele-Tony.” In the observatory, a “Haunted Skies” session lets guests look through the telescope at galaxies, planets, and constellations. Guests can also explore the science center’s exhibits in what organizers call a kid-free environment.

A vendor market will sell goods, and local food partners will sell bites. Food is not included in the ticket price.

General admission tickets are $50, and $35 for science center members and Young Professionals. Tickets include an open bar with cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks all night. The organizers say this year has more bars in an effort to have shorter lines. Proceeds support the science center’s mission. Click HERE for tickets.
