RENDERING VIA CITY OF ORLANDO
Camping World Stadium (Website) dropped the latest renderings for its next renovation/Pokémon evolution.
The $400 million upgrades are designed to position the stadium as a top-tier venue for major sports and entertainment events, competing with arenas in New York, Las Vegas, and Miami. The project aims to be ready by 2027, potentially aligning with the Jacksonville Jaguars’ temporary relocation during their stadium’s rebuild.
Plans include an upgrade to the stadium’s upper bowls and an upper bowl on the northern side of the building that would increase seating capacity to 65,000 people. The additions require more hurricane bracing, which will be incorporated in an added shell to the exterior of the building, which will likely be sporting a new sponsor name too as the clock runs out on Camping World’s naming rights deal – though nothing has been announced publicly at this time.
The Orlando Municipal Planning Board will review the plans on August 19.
