Plantmania Expo (Website) is bringing a tropical plant market to the Central Florida Fairgrounds on September 26 and 27 and will apparently feature rare and exotic houseplants from growers around the world, according to its website.

Saturday’s schedule opens at 8 a.m. for VIP and early bird shoppers, with general entry starting at 10 a.m. and the expo running until 5 p.m. Sunday hours run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all shoppers. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $40 for VIP, available online or at the door.

The expo will have free educational workshops covering topics like houseplant styling, pest identification and management, and tissue culture acclimation (which sounds super sciencey), all included with expo entry. Saturday’s lineup features a talk on bringing new houseplant varieties to market with Justin Hancock of Costa Farms, a beaded plant hanger workshop, a propagation class, and a live kokedama demonstration (which isn’t as dirty as it sounds). Sunday continues with a basic orchid care session from an American Orchid Society award-winning grower and a talk on elevated houseplant displays.
