Pine Street Hospitality is now running the Great Southern Box Company Food Hall in The Packing District

Dr. Phillips Charities (Website) has announced that Pine Street Hospitality has taken over operations of the 13,000 SF Great Southern Box Company Food Hall and Bar (Website) at 2105 N Orange Blossom Trail [GMap] in The Packing District.

Pine Street, the group led by Scott Kotroba and Matty Bullitt behind Walter’s Tavern, Bullitt Bar, McQueens, and Sessions Lounge, has been running Walter’s Tavern inside the same building since last fall, so the expanded role comes as little surprise. All current food hall vendors remain in place.

“Their experience and community-minded approach align with our vision for The Packing District as a place where people come together over great food and shared experiences,” said Dr. Phillips Charities President and CEO Ken Robinson.

The Great Southern Box Company Food Hall is open during regular hours.

According to a report by Ryan Lynch, the move to a new operator follows a dismissed eviction lawsuit against the hall’s previous operator, Delaware-based Hospitality M&C Orlando. Read his full report for more information.
