Philadelphia emo band Sweet Pill (Facebook | Instagram) will play The Beacham in downtown Orlando on Sunday, November 8, on a rescheduled U.S. tour behind its second album, Still There’s A Glow.
The Orlando stop comes between a November 7 show at The Wooly in Gainesville and a November 9 show at New World Music Hall in Tampa. Still There’s A Glow came out March 13 on Hopeless Records. The album blends math-rock instrumentation with emotional lyrics and pop hooks. Vocalist Zayna Youssef said the album is about “being at a low and climbing out of it.”
Sweet Pill formed in 2018 at Rowan University as a project by Youssef and guitarist Jayce Williams. The band released its debut, Where the Heart Is, in 2022 and signed with Hopeless Records in 2023. It has supported La Dispute and The Wonder Years and has played Riot Fest.
For this tour, the band is donating $1 from each ticket to Calling All Crows (Website), which supports feminist movements through music. Full details and tickets are available HERE.
