Eight-year-old Orlando native Scarlett Spears (Instagram) is playing the younger version of Glinda in the new film Wicked: For Good.
Spears, already a working child actress, is a familiar face with fans of General Hospital and in the Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado film. In early released footage and promotional materials, Spears appears in full Glinda costume, blonde wig, sparkling pink dress, and a wand in hand, and delivers a line from the teaser: “I wanna be magical for real.”
The film came out in theaters on November 21. It is expected to be available for digital rentals around December 31 and will be free to stream on Peacock in March 2026.
