Three Orlando City SC players were named to official FIFA World Cup 2026 rosters on Monday. Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau will represent tournament co-host Canada, midfielder Braian Ojeda heads to Paraguay, and forward Marco Pašalić was named to Croatia’s squad.
- Crépeau is in his first season with the Lions after joining via free agency in January. The 32-year-old has made 14 appearances, recorded 63 saves, and tied the club’s single-game saves record with 11 stops in the season opener. He has 31 all-time caps for Canada with 12 clean sheets. Canada opens group play June 12 against Bosnia and Herzegovina, then faces Qatar on June 18 and Switzerland on June 24.
- Ojeda, 25, joined Orlando from Real Salt Lake in January and has started all 18 matches this season, logging 1,552 minutes with four assists. He’s appeared 16 times for Paraguay all-time. Paraguay opens against the host United States on June 12 at 9 p.m. ET, then faces Türkiye on June 19.
- Pašalić is in his second season with the Lions after joining from HNK Rijeka in February 2025. The forward has made 52 appearances for Orlando, totaling 17 goals and seven assists, and holds 13 caps for Croatia. The Vatreni open against England on June 17 at 4 p.m. ET, then face Panama on June 23.
On the Pride side, six players earned call-ups across four countries for the June FIFA window.
- Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse joins England for the final two matches of their FIFA Women’s World Cup UEFA qualifying group. England sits atop League A Group 3 at 4-0-0 and faces Spain on June 5 before closing out against Ukraine on June 9.
- Midfielders Angelina and Marta and defender Rafaelle are all with Brazil for a two-match friendly series against the USWNT — June 6 in São Paulo (5:30 p.m. ET on TBS, HBO Max, Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock) and June 9 in Fortaleza (8:30 p.m. ET on TNT, HBO Max, and Peacock).
- Midfielder Ally Lemos is in São Paulo with the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team for a training camp and two matches against SC Corinthians Paulista running June 1–9.
- Forward Barbra Banda joins Zambia for the Four Nations FIFA Window Tournament in Ndola, June 1–9, facing Kenya, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe. Banda heads into the break as the NWSL Golden Boot leader with 11 goals in 12 matches, including a brace and an assist in the Pride’s 3-1 win over Bay FC on May 29.
Crépeau, Ojeda, and Pašalić represent three of the Lions’ most important contributors (a starting goalkeeper, a midfielder who has played nearly every minute of the season, and the team’s leading scorer), and their absences will be palpable. Canada and Paraguay open group play June 12, Croatia on June 17, with the group stage running through June 27 and knockout rounds stretching into July. At minimum, all three will miss several MLS matches during the group stage window. If their countries advance deep into the tournament, they could be gone for most of the month.
For the Pride, the international window is shorter and more standard, and the NWSL typically pauses for FIFA windows, so the Pride’s absence of six players shouldn’t cost them regular-season points the same way it might for City.
