Rifle Paper Co (Website) is closing its warehouse at 133 Atlantic Drive [GMap] in Maitland on August 28, resulting in 74 layoffs phased through September 30, according to a state WARN notice filing.

The closure affects the fulfillment and warehouse operation only. The company’s flagship store and headquarters in Winter Park will remain open and unaffected. Rifle Paper Co. is also still expanding, with a new boutique set to open at Hyde Park Village in Tampa this fall.

Orlando Shine reached out to Rifle Paper Co. for comment. They declined.

Founded in 2009 by Anna and Nathan Bond in Winter Park, Rifle Paper Co. has grown from a stationery brand into a full lifestyle company with products sold at Target, Anthropologie, and Paper Source, as well as thousands of independent retailers worldwide. The Maitland warehouse has served as the company’s primary fulfillment hub.

The 74 affected employees have until September 30 to transition out under the phased layoff schedule.
