Milk Mart (Website) brings its Spooky Soirée back to the Milk District (Website) on Sunday, October 4, from noon to 6 p.m., marking the free festival’s 10th Halloween edition.
The event takes over the intersection of Bumby Avenue and Robinson Street, with more than 300 local art, food, and craft vendors, including 250-plus artists and more than 50 food and beverage vendors. Costumes are encouraged, and pets are welcome (but I’m gonna go ahead and say if your dog doesn’t want to be there, then leave them at home).
New additions to this year’s festival include Santa’s Pumpkin Patch, a mini pumpkin patch pop-up presented by Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest, along with walk-around scarers from A Petrified Forest. The event also marks The Nook on Robinson’s final Milk Mart appearance before the bar closes on October 31.
The event will feature live music throughout the day on the Hot Milk Stage, featuring PiPSQUEAK and the ODDbodies, Luzher, Dizzlephunk, Nikko Raptoulis, smop and Fast Preacher, while Fo’i performs inside Santa’s Pumpkin Patch all day.
Guests can also explore participating Milk District venues, including craft cocktails at Otto’s High Dive, Milkhouse and Whiskey Lou’s, local beer at The Nook on Robinson, Sportstown and Sideward, rug tufting at Rugged Perspective, film photography at Not Another Film Lab and Bellow’s Film Lab, vintage shopping at Etoile, and a flash tattoo day at Stay Still Studio.
Parking is available for $5 at Festival Park, with free pedicab rides offered to and from the event.
