RENDERING VIA MAITLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY
On July 14, the Maitland City Council voted unanimously to approve the final design and phased development plan by HBM Architects (Website) for its new public library.
The 20,000 SF, two‑story facility in Quinn Strong Park, at 345 S. Maitland Avenue [GMap] will include dedicated program rooms for children and adults, addressing space limits at the current 1907 library, which will be demolished to make way for the new building.
The project includes not only the new Library building, but also improvements to the surrounding Quinn Strong Park. The Maitland Senior Center and another City building will be demolished to make way for the Library at the southwest corner of Maitland and Packwood Avenues. Senior Center activities will be incorporated into the Library when construction is complete.
Construction is set to begin in April 2026.
